Selecting an Engine Package

Do not buy an engine that's rated for 750hp-900hp when your goal is only 500hp. That's 1) counter productive for your pocket 2) reliability of a high hp engine is different since they're blueprinted differently 3) an engine built specifically for 500hp area will be more efficient and better optimized for that power level than 750hp-900hp top end efficient engine.

The discussion of what camshaft you need A) B) or C) grinds, valve springs, what rods, what balance calibration, how much more assembly and-or machine time conversation is less confusion for you, only if, you fill out the engine build sheet correctly.

At Overspeed Motorsports every engine is assembled by hand with clearances dialed in for the exact scenario and application with the same tolerances.
